    KNOW YOUR TEA

Originally known as Kumseri, the Castleton tea estate was established in 1855. Located in Kurseong, Darjeeling, this estate has 130-year-old chinary bushes. Picked fresh at 4000 feet, this first flush 2021 chinary black that we have procured is an impressive one! Medium-bodied, well-balanced, the cup has clean citrus notes with sweet green flavors that go through the entire duration. Hints of stone fruits arrive with woody accents towards the end. taste

A medium-bodied, well-balanced cup tipped with vibrant green attributes. It starts with clean notes of citrus which however subside to reveal a heart resounding with sweet green flavors which dominate throughout the length of the cup. Subtle sensation of roasted chestnuts interlaced with hints of ripe stone-fruits shore up around the edges which smoothes out the astringency from woody undercurrents that can be perceived towards the finish. Furtive notes of elderberry can be picked up in the aftertaste, making for a captivating finish.
